IRS Extends Tax Deadlines for Disaster-Affected Areas in California

Taxpayers in the affected areas now have until October 15, 2024, to file their 2023 tax returns and make payments without incurring penalties.

- File electronically using tax software or the IRS Free File program
- File by mail using the extension form (Form 4868)
