The New York Yankees continued their recent surge, defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-3 on Friday night at Dodger Stadium. The win extended the Yankees' winning streak to eight games and their record to 36-25, while the Dodgers fell to 35-25.
Aaron Judge and Jake Bauers each homered for the Yankees, while Clay Holmes earned the win in relief. The Dodgers' lone home run came from Mookie Betts, who led off the game with a solo shot.
The Yankees took an early lead in the first inning on an RBI single by Gleyber Torres. Judge made it 2-0 with his solo home run in the second inning, and Bauers gave the Yankees a 4-0 lead with his two-run homer in the third.
The Dodgers cut into the lead with two runs in the fourth inning, but the Yankees answered back with a run in the fifth. Bauers drove in his third run of the game with a single in the sixth, giving the Yankees a 6-3 lead.
