Femke Bol stages a sensational late charge to overtake the United States
Team GB have won the 4x400m mixed relay gold medal at the Paris Olympics after a sensational late charge from Femke Bol.
Bol, running the anchor leg, overtook the United States' Kaylyn Brown in the final straight to give Team GB the victory.
It is the first time that Team GB have won the mixed 4x400m relay gold medal.
The team, which also included Alex Haydock-Wilson, Niclas Baker, and Mary John, finished in a time of 3:09.80.
The United States team finished in second place, with the Netherlands taking the bronze.
Bol's performance was particularly impressive, as she ran a personal best time of 49.26 seconds.
The victory is a redemption for Bol, who finished fifth in the women's 400m final at the Tokyo Olympics.
It is also a great result for Team GB, who have now won two gold medals in the athletics competition at the Paris Olympics.
