Cristiano Ronaldo Ties International Goals Record

Portugal Draws with France 2-2

Ronaldo Scores Two Penalties

Cristiano Ronaldo tied the all-time men's record for international goals with a pair of penalties in a 2-2 draw between Portugal and France on Wednesday. The result ensured that both teams advanced to the knockout stage of the UEFA European Championship, with Portugal finishing top of Group F and France finishing second.

Ronaldo's goals took his tally for Portugal to 109, equaling the record set by former Iran striker Ali Daei. The 36-year-old Ronaldo is now the all-time leading scorer in men's international football.

Portugal took the lead in the 31st minute when Ronaldo converted a penalty after Kylian Mbappe was adjudged to have fouled Danilo Pereira. France equalized in the 45th minute through Karim Benzema, who latched onto a pass from Paul Pogba and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.

Ronaldo restored Portugal's lead in the 58th minute with another penalty, this time after Hugo Lloris brought down Joao Palhinha. However, France again equalized in the 60th minute through Benzema, who headed home a cross from Antoine Griezmann.

The result means that Portugal will face Belgium in the round of 16, while France will take on Switzerland.
